Why All Black is a Go To

BIK BOK sweater (similar here and here) // Zara culottes // OFFICE sandals

I don’t wear a lot of color. Have you noticed? Yeah, me neither.

I’m a massive fan of simple black and whites. And it usually comes out all black or all white. I do love a monochrome look. And there’s something about an all black look that you can’t really go wrong with. It’s a default you can resort to when you’re having one of those days, where your whole closet ends up on the floor and you still have nothing to wear. I have those days an unspeakable amount of times. I have a problem.

Every time I find myself spending way too much time staring at my wardrobe (which at the moment, is in a suitcase), I always end up going back to the same thing. Over and over again. A girl should just learn, huh? Well, I have learned to just wear what I feel comfy and confident in. An outfit that makes me feel good.

So black is always on the table. Firstly, black is naturally slimming. It always looks put together and you don’t have to give it much thought. And personally, I think it looks real classy. You can pair different textures to make it more interesting without it being too much effort. Leather, knit, wool, denim…

I’m loving this pairing at the moment. It’s perfect for a coffee shop workday or a shopping spree.

These are my absolute favorite pants. I bought them at Zara while I was in Paris last year and I wear them all the time (whoops). They’re super comfy and, especially when paired with some heels, make my legs look just a bit longer. I’m very conscious about how pants hug my curves so they have to fit perfectly. But with these, I can slide them on and wear them all year! I love wearing them with strappy sandals.

Recent purchase, this sweater, I cannot stop wearing. Seriously, it is so so comfy (I have a thing for comfy). Especially since it’s been freezing. I’m begging the clouds and the rain to run away with all their unhappiness. The sleeves are oversized and make it easy to slip over any top. And since it’s loose at the bottom, it hangs easily over any dress. You don’t have to worry about wearing a jacket over this because it’s so warm on its own.

And these sandals, well, I’m guilty for wearing them with socks in the winter. No shame. They’re comfy.

But my time in Norway for the summer is over. Although it’s been driving me a bit cuckoo without much in the vicinity, I am really going to miss the ocean. Heck, I miss it already.
